Equipped with a large independent 2-deck pre-screen and reversible pre screen conveyor, the R5 impact crusher minimizes wear and tear on the crushing chamber by removing fines from the material before it enters the crusher, ultimately extending the machine’s lifespan. Sticky fine material can be safely discharged without clogging the machine. The hydraulic release system within the crusher inlet opening, combined with the load-sensing hydraulic drive for feeders, ensures a smooth crush without jamming and interruptions in production.

The Keestrack R5 is available with a conventional diesel-hydraulic drive or as a full-hybrid e-version, the Keestrack R5e. The R5e features a highly efficient 11,243-pound rotor driven by a 462-horsepower Volvo six-cylinder diesel engine. The hydraulics power all the lifting cylinders on the chassis and conveyor belts, track drive, vibrating discharge chute, and screen module. A 160-kVA generator supplies power to all other conveyor systems, including the 6.54-cubic-yard vibrating feeder and the optional Neodym over-band magnet.
